Retaining walls 

Retaining walls are used to retain dirt and transition between two different grades. Retaining walls also great for erosion issues and most of the time can eliminate the erosion problem altogether. Our retaining walls can be constructed with retaining wall blocks, cinder blocks faced with stone, natural stone boulders, and 6"x6" timbers.

Drainage

Did you know that you should not have water dumping within 10 feet of your foundation? If you have downspout gutters that are dumping water within 10 feet of your house it could create problems with water pooling in the future. Whether water is getting into your house or you have standing water in the yard, it's rarely a good thing. Catalan Landscaping can make all of those problems go away forever! French drains, catch basins, channel drains, gutter downspout burial, swales,  and dry creek beds are just a few of the drainage services that we offer.

French Drains: A french drain's primary purpose is to prevent surface and ground water from penetrating or damaging a building's foundation. They also help with keeping a dry yard. Standing water is a breeding ground for mosquito larva, especially in the summer. At Catalan Landscaping we can install all types of french drains including ones that include sub-pumps, and permanently fix the problem.

Catch Basins and Dry Creek Beds: A catch basin is used to collect surface run off, usually 6" to 18" basins. Dry creek beds stay dry unless it rains. Much like an actual river, they control the flow of water and can direct and send the water to exactly where you need it. Catalan Landscaping can install catch basins of any size virtually anywhere. Catch basins are great for areas that have standing water or if you want to prevent water from rushing to a certain spot of your property.  Combining these two methods create a very nice aesthetic and add a bit of beauty to any yard, and makes them extremely effective at redirecting water flow and eliminating erosion and drainage problems.

Sod and Plants

Are you looking for some new grass for you and you family to play and spend time together? We can install any sod you want our most popular sod is Zoysia and Bermuda. What we do is remove all old grass and rake out the soil. We then add blackened topsoil which is rich in nutrients for the sod.  We also use this topsoil for our plantings as  well.  We then lay the sod, cut it, and roll it. As for plants, whether it be a tree that reminds you of being young or a beautiful rose bush. Catalan Landscaping can help you get what you need. We offer a wide variety we have multiple vendors in Georgia and a few out of state who will help find and locate whatever shrub, flower, or tree that you're looking for.

Patios and Outdoor Fire Pits

Patios can be a great addition to your home, it could be pavers, flagstone, slate, or even a gravel patio. Having a space outdoors to relax and spend time with the people you care about is always a great thing to have. The best part about winter is getting warm by the fire, we can install fire pits in existing patios or build a new patio.  We are able to make them with blocks, faced blocks, or natural stone boulders, either one would be a beautiful addition to your home.

It's the most wonderful time for lights! We offer LED's and incandescent, We can also do bushes, pillars trees, lights along your driveway and more! The sky is the limit when it comes to holiday lights. Any color scheme is available and here at Catalan Landscaping, we are here to make it as easy for you as possible.
